3rd Annual Denim and Diamonds
March 26- 3rd Annual Denim and Diamonds- An exciting event is coming this spring! Join Dan and Shelby of 95 KSJ as they host Denim & Diamonds on Friday, March 26 at 7:00 p.m. at Oak Hollow Farm in Fairhope. The evening will include dinner and live music by “gritsNpieces.” Party goers will also have the chance to bid in a silent auction on fabulous items such as golf packages, vacation getaways and artwork. American Cancer Society "Luminaria Ceremony"
June 11- American Cancer Society "Luminaria Ceremony"- Located in Heritage Park after the music and before the movie. The lighting of the Luminiarias which is the lighting of a candle in memory or in honor of a loved one / friend will be held on Friday evening June 11 in conjunction with the Foley Convention & Visitors Bureau seven week series of "Farmers Market, Music and a Movie." Luminarias will line the south end of the Heritage Park to memorialize and to honor those who have been touched by cancer. The community is invited to dedicate a luminaria to a loved one or friend and help fight the disease that claims so many lives. With a donation, the individual’s name you designate will be written on a Luminaria and lit on the designated Friday evening. Gulf Coast Hot Air Balloon Festival
June 18- Annual Gulf Coast Hot Air Balloon Festival, Father’s Day Weekend, June 18-20, 2010 at the Foley Sportsplex, 18507 Hwy. 98, Foley. The Gulf Coast Hot Air Balloon Festival welcomes 80000 visitors each year. There are approximately 45 balloonists from across the country who participate. During the 2-1/2 day event there are food and art vendors and free entertainment for families including a children’s village, the very popular Frisbee dog show and NEW for 2010, a 60’ Kite Show Friday and Saturday. Hot Air Balloons will fly (weather depending) on Friday and Saturday night at dusk (around 7 p.m.) and Saturday and Sunday morning (around 6 a.m.) The pilots are competing for prizes during the morning flights. A balloon glow (balloons are inflated while anchored to the ground) is planned for both Friday and Saturday night after dark. Sausage Cook-Off Fundraiser
June 27- Family Promise of Baldwin County Sausage Cook-Off Fundraiser- Family Promise of Baldwin County will host their second annual Sausage Cook-off fundraiser on Sunday, June 27th from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. at the Beckwith Camp and Conference Center on Weeks Bay in Fairhope. Teams are encouraged to enter and cook their favorite sausage recipes. The community is invited to attend. There will be live entertainment, children activities, and great food. Music and a Movie/ JCMF Rodeo Kick-Off
July 30- Music and a Movie/JCMF Annual Rodeo Kick-Off- Located in Heritage Park. Farmers Market from 4:00- 7:00, Brooks Stanfield Band beginning at 5:30, announcement of the 2010 Rodeo Queens at 6:30, and the movie Seabiscuit will play at dusk. Also on site will be the Foley PD Mounted Horse Unit, and tractors on display courtesy of the Tractor Club. Also the 2nd Annual Touch-a-Truck will be held on site.
